P 47D is a basic double-coated low-hydrogen all-current electrode for welding unalloyed and manganese alloyed steels in all positions except vertically downwards. It has exceptionally good arc stability, making it particularly suitable for root strings. The electrode can also be used on smaller transformers with low open circuit voltage. The electrode produces minimal spatter and a very even string appearance with easy-to-remove slag and an excellent isosceles profile in fillet welds. P 47D is easy to ignite and extremely user-friendly, making it excellent for general repair and maintenance welding. Article structure
