P 48M is a basic low hydrogen DC+ electrode intended for welding unalloyed and high strength steels. It is particularly suitable for welding in difficult positions and for steels with a high content of impurities. The electrode gives a very stable arc and shows no signs of "freezing" in vertical welding, even at low currents. Root passes can be welded with DC-. P 48M has very good impact strength at temperatures down to -40°C.
